BGS is seeking a Learning Infrastructure and Analytics Manager in Seattle, WA.
In this high visibility position you will have the opportunity to interact with key customer personas, managers, executives, peers, supporting team personnel, and subject matter experts.
Be a part of Boeing Global Services’ Commercial Training Solutions team that provides industry leadership in commercial and defense aviation training and capabilities, including software development, engineering and technical services, and a range of services to support training centers and pilot provisioning worldwide.
You will be part of the Product Management and Technology Solutions organization and lead the Learning Infrastructure & Analytics (LI&A) product portfolio. As a Manager, you will lead the portfolio whose mission is to deliver enabling learning analytics & capabilities to accelerate and scale product delivery. This role focuses on developing new products and services to support this mission and will lead globally distributed teams of product teams, each with product managers, product owners, architects, scrum masters and developers.
You and your teams’ efforts will deliver the data services and enabling solutions which will support digital solutions from Training Solutions which positively affect safety and operations of our airline customers and Boeing campuses around the globe.
The selected candidate will be required to travel on occasion to support customer engagements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field of study
  • Demonstrated ability and track record of influencing across organizational boundaries
  • Strong collaboration and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years’ experience leading development and external deployment activities for digital products and offerings
  • 5+ years of experience leading a multi-functional, geographically dispersed team
  • 5+ years of experience working in a software development environment
  • 5+ years of experience working with customers to identify functional and systems requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing product backlogs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience in Aviation Training
  • Advanced degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field of study
  • Understanding of Boeing management systems, including those for budgeting, human resources, contracts, supplier management and risks
  • 5+ years of experience using Agile, SAFe and/or LEAN methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience working on data collection and data analytics products
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Familiarity with Clarity for software development

Responsibilities:

  • Set product portfolio vision and lead overall strategy, road mapping, goal setting, program execution, new product development and sustainment
  • Hire and actively manage direct reports, contractors and all staffing
  • Manage portfolio budget, forecasting, long-range business planning and approve financial transactions
  • Reporting portfolio status and progress to senior leader
  • Drive the development and delivery of the Learning Infrastructure & Analytics team capabilities
  • Collaborate with senior leader, teammates, and stakeholders across Boeing and beyond to bring new capabilities and products to market
  • Drive make/buy/partner analysis and decisions to create a holistic solution that creates the most value for our customers and stakeholders
  • Relentlessly push to understand external and internal persona needs and ensure the appropriate persona is considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Oversee product teams who will drive product adoption, track usage and act on customer feedback to improve products
  • Identify unmet needs and disruption opportunities and guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products to internal stakeholders and the market
  • Define and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure success/failure for each product
