PAR is looking for a Manager, Machine Learning that is responsible for leading a team to develop ML algorithms that power PAR and the Punchh platform.
As part of the team, the candidate will lead the full lifecycle of ML Model development to support, including researching algorithms, gathering requirements, developing specifications, running A/B tests in production, and getting it production ready. To be successful in this role, you will need a strong machine learning experience, software development skills, and collaboration with cross functional teams. You will need strong communication and leadership skills, as well as ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on technical leadership (EDA, modeling, coding, etc.).
  • Manage a team of ML Engineers at various levels of experience.
  • Provide mentorship to other Data Team members.
  • Partner with teams like Engineering, Product and Operations to develop quality ML products.
  • Lead the development and deployment of AL / ML services and data pipelines.
  • Build AI / ML POCs and present them to stakeholders.
  • Enforce standards and best practices to improve team’s performance.
  • Become thought-leader on ways to integrate LLMs and AI into the platform beyond classic ML methodologies.
  • Communicate directly with customers to explain and promote our AI / ML technology.
  • Oversee short-term projects of intern and student teams.
