The Market Innovation team drives early-stage innovation around the firm’s Strategic Growth Offerings (SGOs), High Growth Offerings (HGOs) and Global Innovation priority domains.
The Space Sector is an exciting and emerging area where we are seeing increasing growth and client demand. Space is a global innovation priority domain and last year the firm launched a Global Space practice. For the last 12 months, our team have been incubating new innovative use cases and technologies to accelerate our position in the market as the world’s leading global space practice, working in collaboration with other Space teams across the global firm.
Market Innovation is looking for a mixed methods researcher to lead on the Space team’s pipeline of work where there is a high research need; provide research support to other projects across Market Innovation to deliver insights and increase our confidence on strategic decisions; and provide Centre of Excellence support to empower the team to deliver research with greater rigour, reduced bias and higher reliability insights.

CONNECT TO YOUR SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Skills and experience:

  • Designing, planning, and executing mixed-methods research programmes.
  • Qualitative methods: Interviews, focus groups, diary studies, contextual inquiry, ethnography.
  • Quantitative methods: e.g., Surveys, MaxDiff studies.
  • UX methods: Moderated and unmoderated usability testing, benchmarking, concept testing, Tree testing, card sorting, and design of sitemaps.
  • Frameworks for measuring UX at scale through analytics, intercepts and other tools.
  • Agile methodology expertise, able deliver on ways of working that align core day to day activities of team members with business strategy and define value metrics that allow tracking of progress toward strategic goals.
  • Leading on complex pieces of research as an integrated team member across multiple projects.

Desirables:

  • Experience of management and upskilling of junior team members, and those newer to research.
  • Understanding of Space Sector use cases and technologies including Earth Observation.
