JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, the Manager, Media will work with multiple stakeholders across brand marketing, creative, analytics, and execution teams to build 360° Media plans that delivers successful media outcomes. As a trusted strategic advisor for our internal brands, it will be important for the successful candidate to identify opportunities and barriers to growth, prioritize the customer journey, and ensure recommended channel mixes ladder back to key success metrics.
Outside of Media planning and reporting duties, the candidate will also be responsible for MMM data validation, maintaining and reconciling media budgets, and following all operational processes in a timely manner across various stakeholder teams.
The ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment will be key to the candidate’s success. This role requires a strong understanding of traditional and digital medias, excellent communication, and time management skills.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years in media planning, account, or campaign management (CPG, Retail experience an asset.
  • Experience in client services type environment – leading end-to-end account support.
  • Experience with Digital Media channels such as Facebook Business Manager, DV360, Google Ads, social media platforms, etc.
  • Strong grasp of marketing and media products in the marketplace.
  • Understanding of marketing, creative, planning, and ad ops processes.
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines under pressure, prior project management experience is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a related field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Advertising.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop media plans for a portfolio of brands under Loblaw Companies Limited.
  • Develop audience strategies to ensure effective and relevant delivery of media campaign.
  • Manage day-to-day campaign strategy from, planning, implementation, optimization recommendations and reporting. Liaison between clients and internal departments such as Ad Ops, Creative, and Production teams.
  • Ensure quality & accuracy of work back schedules, plans/blocking charts, creative matrices, SMRs & stakeholder updates.
  • Develop & maintain an in-depth understanding of our measurement & analytics tools, including how they are best leveraged in interpreting campaign performance.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the paid media & competitive landscapes, as well as industry trends and new technologies that impact media strategies.
  • Manage relationships with vendor partners to ensure strategies are sound, innovation opportunities are brought forward & we are maximizing value adds.
  • Showcase proactive & open communication with stakeholder counterparts, responding promptly to inquiries, as well as sharing meaningful insights & recommended optimizations regularly. Communication should always be solutions-focused, to foster a positive, high-trust working relationship.
  • Able to support in MMM data validation and follow processes for MMM data integrations.
  • Manage BCR inputs & invoices for payment, LE management with marketing counterparts, as well as creating purchase orders/scope of work documents as needed and on agreed upon timelines.
  • Work with Finance and Ad Operations for forecasting, budget tracking, contracting and resolution of billing issues.
  • Regularly review account workload and processes to optimize/prioritize as needed.
