YOUR SKILLS

  • PhD in the field of applied microbiology, biotechnology or a related field
  • Knowledge and experiences in the areas of defossilization of chemical products and/or analyzing microbial communities
  • Know-how of current methods in molecular biology & bioinformatics
  • Ability to work independent and well-structured in a team-oriented environment
  • Fluent in English. Good knowledge of German is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Leading & driving projects on defossilization and on microbiome studies to develop new products for consumer goods and adhesives technologies
  • Supporting & advising the business units on sequence data-base driven innovation
  • Exploring and evaluating new developments in academia and industry for bio-based materials to reduce the carbon footprint of Henkel
  • Developing & qualifying team members
  • Managing a laboratory
