Plains is looking to fill the position of Manager, NGL Position Management, for an approximate 14-month term. Working out of our Calgary office and reporting to the Director, Commercial Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate daily / monthly reporting of positions recorded within the RightAngle ETRM system for Plains’ Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) division. This is a fast-paced and deadline-driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to pivot focus frequently throughout the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting
  • 10 years’ relevant experience; leadership experienced preferred
  • Working knowledge of and experience with RightAngle ETRM system
  • Detail oriented with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven success in building relationships and working in a team environment
  • In possession of a sense of urgency and accountability, with the ability to respond to tight deadline requirements
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced/expert Excel skills
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and develop a team of position management professionals.
  • Manage timely and accurate daily / monthly reporting of positions recorded within RightAngle.
  • Review end of day (and month) volumetric reporting.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Risk, Invoicing, and Payable team members to resolve and eliminate issues impacting exposure and settlements.
  • Prepare and review key SOX reporting.
  • Execute ad hoc analytical assignments and reporting as required.
  • Assist in advancing IS solutions for RightAngle.
  • Analyze logistical data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for improvements.
