Your Role

As an active member of the Global Safety Team, you will work closely with site management and the local safety expert network to drive the execution of the integrated Symrise Safety Roadmap across the German sites in Holzminden, Braunschweig and Nördlingen. Together with local management and the technical and environmental safety experts of our German subsidiary, Tesium GmbH, you will be accountable for the performance of the deployed safety programs and initiatives.

  • Lead safety performance reviews, and provide support on deployment of clear and actionable improvement plans
  • Identify, leverage and implement Safety best practices in alignment with the Global Safety Team
  • Coordinate safety governance at the German sites in collaboration with key stakeholders such as Functional and Operational leadership, Tesium, Works Council, or Occupational Safety Committee members
  • Ensure compliance with German occupational safety standards, regulations and requirements
  • Conduct inspections and audits and provide support on the execution of critical risk assessments
  • Deliver safety training across all levels of the organization and establish field-oriented coaching
  • Provide pragmatic support on safety initiatives deployment, prioritization of actions and the application of control measures for site risks and hazards
