Description:

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team located in DANBURY, Connecticut, 06810-5103, United States. This role involves providing support to the HR Director and contributing to the efficient management and execution of the benefits department. This position requires a professional with strong analytical skills, who can oversee administrative staff and ensure the seamless operation of our benefits programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and approve payments and funding requests to employee benefit vendors, ensuring consistency with contract terms
  • Manage and execute the Open Enrollment process for our diverse workforce, including defining enrollment timelines, communication plans, and key milestones
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft clear and engaging communications to educate employees about available benefits, changes in plans, and enrollment procedures
  • Undertake special projects as required; research, compile, and analyze data; prepare a variety of reports for internal and external use
  • Stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes related to benefits to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of subordinate employees and vendors, monitor work progress to assure standards and deadlines are met
  • Analyze and align employee benefit programs, ensuring a seamless transition during M& A processes
  • Attend routine meetings with vendors to report, discuss and resolve issues pertaining to health insurance and other benefits
  • Handle complaints and inquiries from employees, retirees and others related to employee benefits
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors to ensure seamless coordination and effective delivery of services
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Compensation & Benefits Specialist.
  • Proficiency in Benefits Administration, Benefits Coordination, and Benefits Analysis.
  • Experience with Medical Benefits and Insurance Benefits is essential.
  • Ability to Verify Insurance Benefits accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience in managing Open Enrollment processes.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation and payroll process.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and database systems.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) credentials are a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
