Description:

As the Manager of Events + Hospitality, you will create events that differentiate Hagerty’s brand and help save driving and car culture for future generations, by bringing together a community of car lovers and providing bucket-list experiences. A high level of organization, strategic thinking, creativity and the ability to work within, and across, teams is critical to being successful in this role. The position will also be responsible for scaling events and experiences for different projects with various budget specifications while maintaining best in class experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Hagerty related hospitality and receptions – serve as subject matter expert and develop new concepts and authentic ideas for hospitality experiences
  • Work with Hagerty’s creative team to align with event and brand guidelines
  • Align with Hagerty’s sponsorship team to create compelling partner activations within the reception and hospitality areas for event partners
  • Manage third party vendors that support decor, furniture, A/V, etc. through bid process and negotiations
  • Collaborate with other business units (high net worth, partnership, membership, regions) for integration into hospitality programs
  • Oversee strategy to ensure Hagerty events are best-in-class by watching head-winds, having a good understanding of what benchmark events are doing and what will be a differentiator for Hagerty’s events
  • Manage budget and reporting updates and tracking of revenue/expenses related to programs
  • Represent and relay Hagerty’s vision for ‘Saving Driving’ and ‘Enjoying the Ride’ through our event activation and through a variety of segments
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Hagerty brand and products as well as Hagerty culture
  • Support various event activations, production and operations as needed
  • Continue to develop new and differentiating ideas and compelling “wow” factor experiences
  • Work with event production on run of show, event tech, set up and managing event program details

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, brands, or a related field with strong level of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of bidding and negotiating with food, beverage, catering companies
  • Must be available to travel for events and work some nights and weekends
  • Ability to think strategically and bring ideas/visions to life
  • Standout colleague who is interested in fostering a positive and collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Proficient user of MS Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver’s License and good standing driving record

  • This position can be worked as a remote position within the United States.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
