DESCRIPTION OF JOB

This position is responsible for the management of the AV and Network teams of the Information Technology Services (ITS) division. The Manager of AV and Network Architecture will lead a group of engineers and analysts with specific focus on building and maintaining integrated experiences that work across the entire Judicial Department AV and network footprint. The Manager of AV and Network Architecture role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and operations to ensure the stable functioning of the Department’s IT networking, telephony, audio-visual systems, and related end-user software suites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related area; plus, six (6) years of relevant experience in information system management, planning or related field which must have included one year of direct supervisory experience.
Additional related work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership Experience: The Network Manager needs to lead a team of engineers and architects, so leadership and team management experience are essential.
Strong Communicator: The Network Manager needs to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to executives, to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding network lifecycle status, risks, and progress.
Technical Vision: The ability to analyze technology, identify trends, and consider organizational constraints are crucial to support the creation of the organization’s network roadmap.
Agile Management Skills: The ability to create a plan that fulfills the network roadmap, but also quickly adapt to changes in business needs, technology advancements and/or changes in market conditions (i.e., supply chain issues).
Vendor Management Skills: The ability to build and manage vendor relationships across the state to help coordinate network installations and support.
Stakeholder Relationship Building: The Network Manager must build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, and team members, to ensure collaboration and support.
