Description:
- You will be part of the team to formulate, develop, exercise, coordinate and execute the plans for peacetime contingency, crisis and national emergencies.
- You will participate actively in ops planning and other related work to staff, champion and coordinate matters within SFA and Whole-of-Government (WOG) levels. These work streams help SFA maintain operational readiness and respond capabilities to situations and crises at WOG level.
QUALIFICATIONS/ OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- A degree with preferably 2 years of relevant experience in internal audit or big 4 audit
- Strong fundamental knowledge in the principles of governance, risks and controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with relevant experience in engaging relevant stakeholders within and outside organisation.
- Possess strong analytical skills with an eye for details and ability to comprehend the big picture.
- Ability to manage complex issues and interrelated factors, to cope with “uncertainties” and “grey” areas in information management and analysis.
- Able to perform independently under time-constraint, in a fast-paced environment and comfortable to work as part of a team.
- Strong command of written and spoken English; able to speak and present to a large audience.

Responsibilities:
- To maintain situational awareness of food security/safety through horizon scanning and other means, synthesise and sense-make information for pre-emptive management of potential crisis/incident that may impact or is detrimental to SFA’s mission.
- To develop and strengthen food supply resilience policies for commonly consumed food items and extended commodities to ensure a continued and well-diversified food supply for Singapore.
- To curate and coordinate demand interventions with relevant Divisions to shape consumer demand and adaptability to build food resilience, including engaging external stakeholders for potential collaborations.
- To initiate, develop and implement food supply chain-related operations plans with relevant Divisions to ensure effective response towards peacetime contingencies, plausible/emerging scenarios and national emergencies.
- To actively engage internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of monitoring and ensuring compliance of parameters and guidelines relating to the implementation of operational policies.
- To assess and develop international cooperation with partner countries on food security/safety, which include implementing policies.
- To build internal capacity and capability on data analysis and interpretational skills in order to process and synthesise large amount of information to extract meaningful insights, to better inform operational decision-making.
- To develop topic-focused sense-making assessment papers (think pieces) on issues of interests relating to food security/safety through assessments on factors that could have impact on Singapore’s food supply; i.e. climate change, geopolitical, export restrictions, and to provide insights for forward planning of mitigating/regulatory measures.
