  The Application Services Program (AS) delivers and maintains ICT applications and platforms for the Bureau. The Program uses a mix of traditional and modern methods to develop software solutions for our customers and to simplify our ICT environment. The Program uses automated processes, such as testing and quality assurance, to support its work.
  The Program provides essential support and maintenance for applications that serve Aviation, Public Weather, Extreme Weather, Space Weather, Climate and Water sectors. The Program also contributes to the delivery of major projects across the Application and Data & Integration work streams.
  The AS Program aims to provide an excellent customer experience for our internal and external customers by delivering reliable and innovative solutions that can be sustained in the long term. As a member of the Application Services leadership team, you will help to shape and implement the support and operational strategies needed as we transition from a mainly in-house development model to a hybrid commercial managed service model.
  The Operational Application Services Manager oversees the application operations teams within the Bureau, whose role is to ensure that the business applications run and operate efficiently and effectively, giving the business agility and addressing operational needs quickly. You will support and improve existing systems, manage and direct the daily activities of the Application Services operations workforce, ensuring that systems, services, and applications work reliably and securely.
