Description:
Join our Operational Risk team who provide an independent view of Macquarie’s operational risk profile and effect change in operational risk management. Our team are responsible for the continual refinement and oversight of the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework in our Commodities and Global Markets business and Corporate Operations Group.

What role will you play?
Reporting to our Operational Risk lead, you will oversee the operational risk framework for our Commodities and Global Markets business and Corporate Operations Group. Applying your operational risk skills and commodities and financial markets experience, you will form an independent view of our Operational Risk profile and where appropriate, act as a catalyst for change and improvement.
You will review and evaluate new business initiatives, to ensure that key operational risks are identified and managed. You will also review and challenge the scope and outcome of business risk reporting, targeted assessments, incidents, issues, key risk indicators, thematic reviews, projects and assurance activities.
As the Commodities and Global Markets and Corporate Operations Group subject matter expert, you will provide training and awareness of key risk management policies and contribute to projects to deliver our overall Operational Risk strategy. You will also assist in compiling responses to requests from stakeholders including regulators, auditors and senior management.
What you offer
- Experience in a commodities trading support (Operations or Risk function).
- 5+ years’ experience in a control function, assurance, internal or external audit role, gained within a dynamic international financial institution, financial services firm or within a professional service environment
An inquisitive problem solver with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile across the organisationStrong verbal and written communication skills.

About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
