Manager, Partnerships - Commercial

The opportunity
We have an opportunity to join our Commercial Partnerships Team as Manager, Partnerships in the Adelaide region. In this role you will drive growth with a focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes and high service standards. You will partner with a designated group of Brokers to profitably grow the business and deliver agreed business plans. You will work closely with the Partnerships team, Underwriters and Claims, as well as a number of other key stakeholders.
Your new role
You will work in a great team environment and be responsible for developing and delivering the following:

Customer

  • Working with the Regional Partnership Manager develop account plans for an assigned panel of brokers.
  • Implement a broker visitation schedule with a focus on value for both partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning and/or delivery of partner communications inclusive of process, product, or technology enhancements.
  • Actively manage partner escalations inclusive of service, underwriting or claims matters.
  • Ensure broker partner risk profile information is managed and maintained in accordance with company guidelines.

Relationships

  • Establish and develop strong relationships with key business partners.
  • Gain a strong understanding of internal business priorities by building a close rapport with key stakeholders inclusive of the Claims, SME and Commercial underwriting teams.
  • Represent QBE’s interests with internal and external stakeholders through support and participation in industry and corporate events.

Strategic

  • Use Data and Analytics tools to help with performance management and decisions for strategic growth and retention.
  • Identify new business growth opportunities and multi-line cross-sells to maximise penetration of client base and improve product density within negotiated product lines.
  • Review sales metrics for online products and develop action plans to promote growth and/or address performance trends within assigned panel.
  • Maintain Salesforce (CRM tool) inclusive of all engagement activity and updated key contact information.
  • Execution of broker plans focused on profitable growth, retention, and partner value.
  • Collate and share relevant market and competitor intelligence for consideration when developing future strategy.

About you

  • Previous experience as a BDM/Account Manager, ideally within Insurance or Financial Services, preferred but not essential
  • Previous general insurance experience either with an insurer or broker preferred
  • Outstanding Customer Service and Relationship Building skills
  • Ability to lead by influence with Brokers and Underwriters
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment by supporting and engaging with team members at all levels
  • Product knowledge and pipeline development skills to fulfil growth opportunities
  • Experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce) system to maintain engagement activity, key contact information and pipeline development
