REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Five years of experience administering payroll, pension, and benefits.
- Two years of experience in the supervision and development of Payroll staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, pension, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and territorial income and taxes, and employer’s social security, unemployment, and worker’s compensation payments.
- Ensures compliance with pension and benefits requirements and all legal obligations, while continuously ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payment remittances.
- Ensures work of the division is performed in accordance with all federal and territorial acts and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Develops financial entries at the end of every pay period for submission and review by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Reviews and reconciles employee year-end tax slips with pay register.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
