What you will bring to this role which will include the following but not limited to…
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Extensive experience at a senior leadership level, with an exceptional track record of human resources and health, safety & wellbeing delivery, and ideally has had exposure to the broader local government sector.
- Extensive experience and strong expertise in providing sound advice on industrial relations and OHS matters, interpretation of legislation, Enterprise Agreement negotiations and strategic management of unions and complex organisational issues
- Significant experience and knowledge in leading health, safety and wellbeing in a complex, diverse and hazardous environments, including, health & safety risk management, business partnering, safety performance, measurement, systems and assurance.
- Previous experience in developing and implementing an integrated, strategic human resources and safety strategy that translates short-term business performance into a clear vision for enhancing long term performance.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial relations, ability to lead EBA negotiations and oversight of complex people management issues, with demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships across the industry, associations or regulatory bodie
