Manager Preventive Quality (m/f/d) – Global Operations
Location flexible
Within Walter Global Operations we are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Manager Preventive Quality. If you’re passionate about ensuring top-notch quality standards and thrive in a collaborative, international environment, we want to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary interface with customers on quality matters throughout project phases, including managing Customer APQP/PPAP liaison.
  • Finalize quality tasks within project timelines to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
  • Ensure remote locations maintain ISO 9001 certification.
  • Support customer-facing quality engineers as needed.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with all relevant customer representatives.
  • Gauge internal and external customer satisfaction and devise action plans for project improvement.
  • Coordinate the review of customer requirements with cross-functional teams at remote locations.
  • Lead APQP reports and tracking, and support and track Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) within projects.
  • Liaise with customers on APQP and PPAP processes, aiding in concern resolution.
  • Manage PPAP/PSW submissions to customers, including obtaining customer PSW approval.
  • Lead and contribute to system Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) with customers.
  • Support and conduct process approvals and Run @ Rate (R@R) activities with manufacturing plants before customer SOP when necessary.
  • Contribute insights during drawing reviews, design, and process FMEA as the voice of the customer.
  • Ensure lessons learned activities within the APQP/PLM process.
  • Support and coordinate necessary convergence actions within project teams.
  • Measure project management deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement at remote locations.
  • Compile process maps and flow charts to support improvement activities.
  • Provide training on quality tools and processes within project teams.
  • Participate in the Project Steering Committee.

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, encompassing development and production in automotive, aerospace, or another regulated industry, at least at a T1 level.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience with international teams.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years working in program and project management.
  • Solid understanding of APQP, QVP, and Quality Tools.
  • Additionally Preferred: Six Sigma, Quality Manager, Lead Auditor, FMEA Moderator.
  • Fully fluent in English plus proficiency in a mother language.
  • Proficiency in 8D, Root cause analysis, DOE, SPC, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Competence in project management, time management, and change control.
  • Understanding of business and finance basics.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, email, Internet, and SAP.
  • Enjoy working in an international team.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
