Overview of the role:
As part of Plant Management team, the Process Optimization Manager will be responsible to lead and guide the Plant Planning team, lead product development related projects, and support optimization projects related to production. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Schedule: Monday – Friday; weekends as needed
Salary: $101,720.00 - $127,150.00

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Oversee production planning and supply management, including:
  • Lead plant planning team to produce optimal plans and schedules
  • Ensure production plans, schedules and materials are adequate to meet business needs with continuous improvement in mind to provide optimal production performance (i.e., reduce costs, increase efficiency, etc.)
  • Analysis and optimization of planning and operation models to drive maximum performance
  • Liaise with corporate partners to ensure plans achieve best results for the business
  • Initiate and lead production optimization projects, with the goal of reducing process redundancy, improving efficiency, and streamlining process flow.
  • Develop relationships with external partners (regulatory or corporate) as needed to drive successful optimization projects.
  • Support optimization projects initiated in all departments as needed, including use of cross functional teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field considered a strong asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Equipped with data analysis and Lean six sigma skills and/or mindset are recommended.
  • Strong understanding of operations, inventory control, product development and project management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to multitask and switch priorities as required.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with the overall success of the business as the goal.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent investigative, administrative, analytical, report-writing and record-keeping skills.
