Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Vena is looking for a collaborative and empathetic Manager of Product Design to join a cross functional team. You’ll become a member of a fast-growing high-impact product design team that touches every aspect of Vena’s user experience. You should have an understanding of iterative design, be comfortable with complexity, can represent design to different stakeholders, and most importantly have a stellar positive attitude. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Leading a team of designers and researchers by embodying leadership traits that include collaboration, empathy, diversity, humility, and critical thinking
  • Fostering an environment that balances high performance with happiness and health, identifying and supporting when we need to advocate for more time or rigor
  • Working with the VP of Product to implement strategy, identify improvements to processes and track career growth for product designers
  • Working closely with Product Designers to set performance goals and evolve them on a continual basis while ensuring designers practice inclusive and user-centered design
  • Working with engineering and product leaders to establish both near-term and long-term product vision while advocating for customers’ feedback
  • Embracing a continuous personal development mentality, always seeking to learn and improve in line with the current role and future development path
  • Identifying opportunities for cross-departmental work and understanding the shared dependencies that connect all of our products and services
  • Rolling up your sleeves and helping out on projects where tight deadlines are required
