Manager, Product Engineering
NAB- Remote
Job Summary:
In NAB’s Dispute Management team, we work on projects that help merchants of all sizes do business more effectively. We believe in a small, highly skilled team where everyone writes code and leverages the latest technology. We are looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to join us as we construct the next generation system. This complex fin tech domain has many stimulating, hard-to-master problems, and it has potential to expand into numerous aspects of commerce. It is the perfect opportunity for the successful candidate who wants to lead part of an innovative and energetic team that makes a highly visible impact, while also contributing technically.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Implementing new merchant-facing management systems for the payments industry that process millions of transactions every day
  • Hands-on development and deployment of enhancements across the full stack - front end, back end, ops and database, along with integration to supporting systems (i.e., billing systems, third party services, large customer integrations, etc.)
  • Managing the partnership with data science experts and machine learning operations resources to integrate necessary ML components
  • Collaborating with colleagues who believe in their mission and do what it takes to deliver a solution
  • Working on tasks that have high ambiguity and require research and learning before action, then providing direction to development staff
  • Building highly automated systems

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years in the payments industry
  • Development and debugging experience with Go, node.js, Python
  • Understanding of GitOps and modern approaches to automation
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and serverless computer environments
  • Experience with components such as Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Neo4j, Hazelcast, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, RedPanda, Druid, Solr, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS and GCP environments
  • A high personal standard of quality, and thirst for high performance
  • Excellent communication skills and remote management experience

Travel Requirements: Minimal
Salary Range: $120,000- $180,000
