Primary purpose of the role
The “Manager, Product Owner - DevSecOps” is key in merging development, security, and operations within the organisation, enhancing software development efficiency and security through DevSecOps practices. This role involves strategic leadership, team collaboration, and aligning product development with business goals. The manager also focuses on risk management, compliance, and fostering team growth, while keeping pace with industry trends and measuring the success of DevSecOps initiatives through established metrics and KPIs.
Key accountabilitiesaccountabilities :
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals
- Manage the leadership and performance of the DevSecOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Oversee product ownership and customer advocacy, translating customer needs into actionable development tasks
Champion continuous improvement and innovation in DevSecOps, staying abreast of industry trends and technologies to enhance product development and operational processes.Plan and resource allocation for DevSecOps initiatives, ensuring optimal resource use, justifying expenditures, and making strategic decisions on resource allocation.
Key knowledge and experience
- Proven Experience in DevSecOps: A strong background in DevSecOps practices, including experience in integrating development, security, and operations. This is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and cannot be quickly developed on the job.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, particularly in a technical environment. This includes experience in mentoring, performance management, and fostering team growth.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of software development processes, security protocols, and IT operations. This should include familiarity with current technologies, tools, and best practices in these areas.
