Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Production accounting sits at the center of a complex system of data gathering and reporting.
Reporting to the CFO and leading a team of production accountants and royalty specialists, the
Manager, Production Accounting and Royalties is a leader, mentor and data lover who excels at
developing relationships across all aspects of our business and empowering their team to solve
challenging problems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for full cycle production and revenue
accounting for the company’s properties, excellent communication skills, a good mix of strong
technical skills and proven leadership competency.
Pieridae’s asset mix comprises several legacy sour gas processing facilities with supporting gathering
systems, field infrastructure and wells spanning the Alberta/Montana border to NE British Columbia.
Assets include three operated deep cut gas processing facilities and several similar non-operated
facilities. Pieridae interacts with several joint venture partners throughout its portfolio. Royalties
include AB and BC Crown, IOGC, freehold, GORR; GCA is a critical component of our royalty portfolio.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum fifteen (15) years related work experience in production/revenue accounting.

  • Experience with operated gas plants is preferred.
  • CAPPA certification is required.
  • Must be familiar with Petrinex usage and reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Metrix and Qbyte FM is required.
  • Experience with GCA process, calculation, and planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of AER production reporting guidelines is required.
  • Strong understanding of gas handling agreements to ensure facility fees are accurately

captured and billed monthly.

  • Easily adaptable to a changing environment with the implementation of systems and process

efficiencies.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of a strong technical team, allocation of responsibilities, cross training, delegation

and empowering career advancement, performance measurement and coaching.

  • Accountable for the accurate and timely production reporting for operated and non-

operated properties, processing and compiling of production data, splits, communication to

various internal and external parties as required.

  • Deep understanding of field operations, desire to be in the field on occasion, and the ability

to interpret and understand measurement schematics.

  • Strong financial accounting competency; oversight of revenue accruals, subledger account

management and reconciliations, accounting set-up for complex transactions.

  • Ability to apply a big-picture strategic lens to long term projects such as GCA strategy, plant

and field fuel gas allocation projects and data management.

  • Experience in understanding the gas flow and IPS component allocation methodology in

Metrix is required to ensure accurate allocations.

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical problems to senior leadership.
  • Desire to take a leadership role on multi-disciplinary project teams working to improve FDC,

field and plant measurement, data mapping and business intelligence development.

  • Management of IS providers to ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of core PA

systems (Metrix) as well as ancillary data gathering and reporting tools.

  • Crown, GORR and Freehold reporting.
  • Development and maintenance of PA policy and procedures
  • Collaboration with internal and external auditors to ensure internal controls are properly

documented and up to date.

  • Participate in and or lead ad hoc projects from time to time.
  • Coordination of the accuracy of regulatory information.
  • Co-leadership of EPAP annual processes and continuous improvement.
