QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This Quality Compliance Leader role will have responsibility for compliance across two sites and employ strategic skills and tactical skills to manage compliance related responsibilities for both sites. Manages the quality compliance function (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) of the organization. Perform independent reviews and assessments of area/program performance, including independent technical assessments of operations, Quality Assurance (QA), lessons learned, industry best practices, technology, production and programmatic (cost, schedule, quality and risks). Identifies synergies, simplification of QMS and standardizes compliance related tasks across sites. Identifies and addresses compliance risk areas where the adequacy of area/program plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/verification/validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success. Responsible for continuously reviewing compliance quality strategy, practice, and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met. Establishes customer relations and communications processes.
This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Colorado Springs, CO and will have responsibilities also for our site in Fairfield, CA . This position maybe eligible for relocation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manages team of Quality professionals, with flexibility to determine how assignments are completed (e.g., objectives and approaches to completing work).
  • Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members.
  • Explains policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Manages the execution of Quality Assurance objectives. May lead a team of entry to intermediate level Quality Assurance professionals. Sets day-to-day objectives for the achievement of immediate Quality Assurance goals and supervises completion.
  • Supervises execution of plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
  • Drives elements of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
  • Reviews production processes and analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain the QMS system. Work with teams to develop and revise procedures that comply with customer and corporate requirements.
  • Conduct QMS audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Perform compliance reviews and risk assessments in multiple areas such as safety, regulatory, environmental (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals)..
  • Lead and/or participate in Compliance Audit related findings and Corrective Actions ; apply root cause analyses using 5Why, Fishbone diagram, DMAIC; drive implementation of solutions to prevent recurrence of root causes.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve key Compliance Quality metrics such as CAR timeliness and volume.
  • Travel as required to work locations
