ABOUT US
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
The Quarantine Fee Operations team in the Emergency Management group is responsible for the administration of quarantine contribution fees under Part 14 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2004 and Public Health and Wellbeing (Quarantine Fees) Regulations 2020.
SPECIALIST/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Microsoft suite skills, particularly excel.
- Related tertiary qualifications in business management, accounting or data management would be favourable.
The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria, with hybrid work arrangements available.
As the Manager, Quarantine Fee Operations, your accountabilities include:
- leading a small highly motivated team and customer support and technology system service providers in the collection and administration of quarantine contribution fees under the Act, in accordance with public sector obligations and best practice
- Designing, initiating and delivering strategic solutions, including enhancements to the Quarantine Fee Invoicing System, to improve data quality and reporting to inform operational strategies
- Leading the development and implementation of program policies, procedures and resources, including communications and statutory notices to public stakeholders, in compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994 and Ministerial Standing Directions, industry standards and the fee legislation
- ensuring the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of Program deliverables, including briefs and reports to senior executive and ministerial audiences.
- Overseeing the management and performance of contracted suppliers and related expenditur
