REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate Degree in a related field of study. A combination of education and extensive experience may be considered
- Experience conducting research and familiarity with research management
- Experience in the review of applied research proposals, and the development of applied research projects
- Experience in applying for and managing research grants
- Excellent organizational, analytical, research and creative skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Demonstrated effective human resource management skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated skill in the development and management of effective data collection and reporting systems and processes
- Demonstrated research dissemination planning and delivery skills
- Knowledge of intellectual property
- Effective computer skills
- Knowledge of capital planning, property management and space planning
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and organizations
- Strong financial management skills

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:
The Programs Manager, Research will be responsible for leading a new initiative focused on building applied research capacity in the area of digital technology transformation. The successful candidate will play an important role as part of the Research Partnerships and Innovation team and will be responsible for the strategic planning, business strategy and operational management of the area. The incumbent manages the financial and human resources of the area and ensures appropriate quality measures and standards are in place.
