Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our 3PL partners, serving as the primary point of contact for all reverse logistics operations issues, initiatives, and reviews in Europe.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to track the performance of our 3PL partners, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and continuous improvement. Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with different providers to ensure service levels, ongoing improvements and cost-to-serve initiatives are being addressed.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost efficiency within the reverse logistics operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of product handling, packaging, and transportation are maintained throughout the logistics chain, minimizing the risk of damages and maximizing customer satisfaction. Evaluate and manage the availability of spare parts for repair and refurbishment operations across Europe
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during reverse logistics operations, working closely with internal stakeholders and 3PL partners to implement timely and effective solutions.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and disruptions to the reverse logistics operations, implementing robust contingency plans to minimize impact on product availability and delivery timelines.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance standards governing repair and refurbishment operations in Europe, ensuring full adherence and timely implementation of necessary changes. Collaborate with our Trade Compliance and Legal teams to alert on, address, and resolve potential issues, ideally before they occur
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and analyses on the performance of reverse logistics operations, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to senior management.
  • Cross-functional team Leadership: Work with a broad network of stakeholders from Bose and our network of 3PLs to drive reverse initiatives to improve our European reverse logistics network performance along financial, operational, and CSAT dimensions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Reverse logistics management and distribution, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Deep and proven understanding of reverse logistics processes and concepts including repair, refurbishment, and inventory management preferably within consumer electronics, premium brands, or the high-tech industry.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, with a strong ability to manage vendor relationships and drive performance improvements.
  • Excellent analytical and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with global teams, external partners, and senior management.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving and ambiguous environment, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Customer and result-centric. Able to anticipate and address potential issues before they turn into service disruption.
  • Familiar with logistics and transportation information systems. SAP, WMS systems; MS applications proficiency required; SQL and data analytics/visualization tools, a plus
  • Understanding of European Customs processes, a plus
  • Multilingual proficiency; able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
