Description:
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be based in our London or Toronto office as part of our Life Sciences Communications team, reporting into the Director of Marketing & Communications.
You will work in deep collaboration with colleagues across the global practice, as well as the social media, editorial, reputation risk, publishing production, and storytelling teams.
The Life Sciences practice partners with leading global institutions on the most critical challenges they are facing in the pharmaceuticals, medical products and biologics industries.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years of professional experience required for manager level
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience within communications and/or marketing for senior manager level
- Experience working within life sciences industry and/or with a professional services firm preferred
- Experience working at a strategic level to deploy campaigns into the full range of marketing/communications channels, including digital channels (e.g., web, events, traditional media/analyst relations, social media)
- Ability to measure business impact targets from marketing and communications activities
- Maintain and cultivate networks of external media, journalists, and influencers
- Interest and aptitude for working across tenures and role types, countries and cultures
- Solid problem-solving capabilities including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing robust strategic marketing and communications plans for the Life Sciences practice as an integral thought partner and collaborator to senior stakeholders.
You will build and own strategies covering the practice’s reputation, audience growth, and share of voice with media and industry influencers. You will also lead marketing across multi-media channels, manage and execute against an integrated program of campaigns, and establish prioritization for events and publishing for the practice.
You will manage 1-2 direct reports, as well as, provide oversight and coaching to a wider group of communications professionals. You will also manage priorities for the global budget and ensure proper management of spend.
You will collaborate with peers from other practices and centers of excellence (CoEs) on special projects and firm initiatives, as well as drive internal engagement (IE).
In addition, you will lead our customer relation management (CRM) strategy and direct the deployment and maintenance of the practice’s contacts, within current and future CRM systems.
