What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Manager for the Cloud Integrated team, you will be instrumental in forming and scaling high-performing teams, offering dedicated support for individual growth and career progression. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers, to define project milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional Scrum teams, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to team members.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive accountability and transparency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement by promoting Agile best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing, and implementing feedback loops.
  • Engage closely with the HR and Recruitment teams to attract, onboard, and retain exceptional engineering talent.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with projects, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging standards and best practices, to maintain high-quality software development.
  • Monitor and analyze AWS usage, working with senior management and engineer teams to provide recommendations for cost savings.
  • Coach and mentor team members, helping them define and set goals, identify areas for growth and providing constructive feedback to support their professional development.
  • There is no expectation to be hands-on but might require involvement if needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong communication skills with experience in effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Successful track record of project leadership, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects with predictability.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and developing backend services at scale within AWS.
  • Experience of front-end development
  • Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing talent development.
  • Experience in establishing and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain high-quality software development.
