Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Manager to lead the Sovereigns, Ratings and Curves Data teams. Your team will be responsible for the data management, quality and timely delivery of content, while also growing our data offering by identifying and on-boarding additional datasets. You will be expected to drive the data strategy, aligning with our clients and key partners to understand their evolving needs and setting proactive strategies to ensure we deliver fit for purpose datasets.
Your teams will also be responsible for researching additional data sets to expand the coverage of our product as well as focus on developing their data modeling and ETL software skills. You will collaborate extensively with global colleagues, and partners across all business units including Product, Engineering, Sales & Analytics, and News.
We’ll trust you to:
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent to create hard-working teams while leading regional teams with multiple team leaders directly reporting to you
- Own the success of the team in achieving its goals and metrics alongside implementing and evolving plans for coverage and expansion for the product
- Represent your product by visiting clients and/or engaging in industry events to promote our data products to have meaningful client interactions to build trust, understand their needs and deepen relationships
- Ensure teams are focused on data management best practices such as data modeling to promote interoperability among all of Bloomberg’s datasets
- Drive workforce planning initiatives to create sustainable systems and ensure the correct resources and skills are in place to align with business needs
- Drive the integration of technology to improve the workflow via the Engineering tech stacks to ensure expanded data coverage, quality improvements and efficiencies in delivering data faster to market
- Work with global counterparts to build and implement a comprehensive data strategy and lead initiatives to completion
