Description:
This is your opportunity to join the Department of State Development and Infrastructure (DSDI) to think ahead and act now in helping secure responsible economic development and liveable communities.
The Strategy, Insights and Advisory (SIA) business group within DSDI coordinates all key matters across the Minister’s portfolio responsibilities and all touch points between the Minister’s office and the department.
As a Manager you contribute to the Cabinet and Parliamentary Services team by coordinating all aspects of the Cabinet, Cabinet Committee, Parliamentary and Executive Council and forward-planning processes ensuring best practice through a continuous improvement focus.
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the following skills and experience: - Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders internal and external of the portfolio, including the Minister for State Development and Infrastructure and Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing; Director- General, CEOs of relevant statutory bodies and senior officers, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and Queensland Treasury in order to achieve expected strategic outcomes for the unit.- Align and manage the operations of the team to the department’s and portfolio’s strategic goals including coordination of all aspects of the Cabinet, Cabinet Committee, Parliamentary and Executive Council and forward-planning processes ensuring best practice through a continuous improvement focus.- Coordinate and provide strategic, timely and accurate advice on policy and operational matters on Cabinet, Cabinet Committee, Executive Council and Parliamentary proposals through scanning the organisational environment, identifying critical gaps and applying workable solutions.- Lead the development and implementation of strategies, systems and processes that enhance the delivery of the department’s policy and legislative programs.
The Strategy, Insights and Advisory (SIA) business group is responsible for the following functions: » strategic policy, including macroeconomic oversight, intergovernmental and whole-of-government policy matters and complex internal policy requiring coordination and collaboration» marketing, communications, and media» cabinet and parliamentary services, ministerial and executive services, and the Office of the Director-General» strategic advice and oversight of commercial transactions, complex projects, business intelligence and performance management.
