Description:
This is an opportunity to lead eSafety’s Strategic Policy and Tech Futures Section. The Section promotes online safety by working to anticipate and address challenges related to the digital world, including current and emerging technology and policy trends and the regulation of online harms, and by influencing strategic and regulatory policy directions. It also works to enable eSafety’s regulatory operations through understanding online safety and technology trends and issues, keeping stakeholders updated on the latest technology information through briefings, papers, reports and presentations as required. This role will take carriage of eSafety’s technology trends and challenges work stream which have previously included developing expertise, public papers and internal briefings on topics such as generative AI, the impacts of end-to-end encryption, recommender systems and algorithms, age assurance and immersive technologies on online safety.
