Description:
Reporting to the Director, Strategy & ePMO, the Manager Strategic Projects will play a key role in shaping the future of care by supporting capital and redevelopment projects across Niagara Health (NH) sites. The Manager will provide leadership for the purposes of engaging key partners and leading project related communications.
As an integral member of the Strategy and Communications team and under the direction of the Director/EVP Strategy & Communications, the Manager takes a leadership role in the management and organization of all aspects of partnerships for redevelopment and renovation projects within their portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with the Capital & Facilities team to understand and plan for key capital project initiatives as prioritized by the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Engineering, Design Technology, or recognized equivalent required
o Minimum of five (5) years related experience in either Engineering or Project Management in a health sector or public sector context; or health care program and project management of strategic projects
o Experience with Ministry of Health (MOH) Capital Planning, Infrastructure Ontario (IO), Ministry of Finance (MOF), Municipal Planning highly desirable
o Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required
o Excellent time management and organizational skills required
o Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills required
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
o Excellent analytical skills required
o Ability to produce high quality reports and meet scheduling deadlines required
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health’s Vaccination Policy

o Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of plans related to internal interested and affected parties
o Develops plan for external engagement for project
o Measures the effectiveness of engagement and related communications activities
o Accountable to ensure internal engagement schedule is aligned with capital and redevelopment projects across the organization
o Develops and executes on a stakeholder map to health and community partners to create opportunities for collaboration
o Develops and manages municipal, provincial and federal government relationships to help advance the project
o Continuously proposes and develops new strategies to better support stronger working external relationships and stakeholder communications
o Advises senior executive team on proactive and reactive strategies related to reputational risks
o Development and execution of all internal and external communications materials for key stakeholders
