We are looking for a Manager Strategy and Portfolio who can support the Group in accelerating new technology development and faster conversion into business and societal value.

Reporting to the Head of Innovation Office and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Innovation Science and Technology Group, you will be:

• Partnering with the Group-wide R&D Leads and community from across all Product Groups and Functions, Group Strategy and Finance to shape an ever sharper and more targeted portfolio in support of delivering the Group strategy
• Working collaboratively with R&D and Innovation teams, Group Strategy and Finance and with your team to deliver transparency and clarity on the Group’s portfolio to support the Group in making key prioritisation decisions
• Supporting structure and standing up a new systematic sensing capability that bring together thinking on new opportunities from multiple teams within and beyond R&D and likewise externa; to Rio Tinto; and engineer and build out a new knowledge capability to support R&D teams in their day to day work
