Description:

Our client is a privately held extruder based in North America that specializes in manufacturing standard and custom aluminum profiles. They have established a reputation for delivering uncompromised quality, responsive service, and a strong commitment to growth in the markets they serve across North America. Randstad is pleased to partner with them in the search for their next Manager of Supply Chain at their Brampton location.
Job Title: Manager, Supply Chain Supplier Relations Vendor Management
Reports to Head of Supply Chain
Location- Brampton
Job Status - Full-time Permanent + benefits
Salary - Depends on Experience.
Type - Onsite- Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners, and to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organizational needs and build rapport.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management, and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the company.
  • Ability to adapt and manage in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or other relevant area preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in Vendor Management, with a focus on leading vendor negotiations and creating savings opportunities.
  • 5+ years experience with ERP or Purchasing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and executing the 3rd Party Vendor Strategy.
  • Improve 3rd party vendor pricing and reduce supply risk through the utilization of RFx processes, vendor negotiations, and contract development.
  • Analyze spending and usage data to develop and implement reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, category spend adherence, and savings results through the development and tracking of KPIs and measurement tools.
  • Establish and administer a standardized vendor management process to monitor vendor performance and contractual compliance.
  • Develop and maintain inventory record solutions to utilize as a basis for spend reduction initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, lead negotiations, and maintain good relationships with vendors.
  • Continuously improve and streamline policies, procedures, supporting technologies, and tools with a focus on enhancing organizational value and efficiency.
  • Manage plant Buyers, develop training, and set KPIs to ensure organizational objectives are met.
  • Support the plant’s Materials Management team in providing vendors with clear demand requirements.
