QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • MSc in Systems Engineering or related field, with additional qualifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex systems engineering programs, emphasizing the V-model and its variants. Proficient in simulation and modeling tools such as CAE, FEA, CFD, and energy modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and analysis, including HV HIL systems and site testing procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, motivate team members, and delegate tasks. Experience in managing diverse teams to achieve project objectives within budget, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to addressing engineering challenges. Ability to generate innovative solutions using both internal and external resources.
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing project direction and securing stakeholder support for business goals.
  • Quick adaptability to changing project requirements and a strong commitment to continuous professional development. Flexible mindset prepared to work outside comfort zones.
  • Experience in engaging and managing external consultants and contractors. Skilled in working effectively with both office and field-based technical teams, ensuring cohesive team progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower your team to establish and monitor engineering processes and attributes, ensuring alignment with program goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead your team in the development and implementation of Design and Validation Plans (DVPs) to meet rigorous validation criteria and program requirements.
  • Task your team with conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to predict and mitigate potential system failures, thereby enhancing reliability and performance.
  • Direct your team to ensure all engineering solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including the homologation process.
  • Encourage a culture of collaboration within your team and across departments, ensuring the successful integration of product systems and project success.
  • Delegate the development and oversight of test plans and execution strategies, including high-voltage Hardware-in-the-Loop (HV HIL) operations, to validate system performance.
  • Empower your team to use advanced simulation and modeling tools, such as 1D & 3D modeling and CAE methods (FEA, CFD), for system design optimization.
  • Guide your team in integrating production units into operational settings, conducting on-site performance testing, and ensuring systems are safely energized and operationally ready
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring and reporting relevant engineering activities.
  • Formulating parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the program engineering team.
  • Engaging and managing consultants to produce outcomes required to support program development.
  • Developing and coaching engineering team members to help provide further growth opportunities.
  • Creating frameworks for measuring project metrics.
  • Developing innovative solutions for cost effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Maximising performance and positive culture across the team to provide a thriving environment.
