The Manager, Talent Engagement plays a pivotal role in driving talent engagement strategies and initiatives for all technical roles. The ideal candidate thinks about how to introduce new methods and ideas for identifying and engaging top talent and successfully enlists support from the business for talent attraction, networking, and workforce engagement initiatives. This leader should have a deep understanding of the entertainment industry, a proven track record in talent acquisition, and strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the talent engagement technical team.

The key responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leadership & Team Management:

o Provide leadership and guidance to the team.
o Set clear objectives, performance expectations and KPIs the tech team.

o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Sourcing Strategy Development:

o Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top tier talent at the executive level.
o Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including direct sourcing, networking, and leveraging online platforms and databases.
o Continuously improve sourcing strategies by staying on top of industry trends.
o Partner with HR and business leaders to retain the best talent and identify future critical skills sets and gaps.
o Identify and create strategic partnerships and networks within the industry, and other relevant industries, to attract top talent.

o Explore synergies and efficiencies across the Global Talent Acquisition team. Continue to integrate smart sourcing behaviors into all activities of the team.

  • Client Relationship Management:

o Maintain strong relationships with recruiters and clients to ensure alignment of sourcing efforts with the business objectives.
o Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business to define needs and deliver holistic people and process solutions.
o Use deep industry knowledge and acumen to advise senior leadership.

o Coach and counsel leadership around talent engagement strategies to increase their proficiency in sourcing and attracting top talent.

  • Candidate Engagement & Evaluation:

o Lead the team in proactively identifying, engaging, and assessing potential candidates for roles.

o Conduct initial candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate qualifications and skills.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

o Track and analyze sourcing metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
o Generate regular reports and insights to inform decision making and optimize sourcing efforts.
o Champion consistency and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on sourcing for technical and executive level roles
  • 2 or more years of functional and/or people management experience
  • Experience collaborating with key resources, HR, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and yield influence with senior level leaders.
  • Rolodex of established talent relationships across the industry.

Additional Qualifications:

  • West Coast-based candidates strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, roles, and skill sets.
  • Proficiency in using ATS and CRM systems (SuccessFactors and Beamery preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and resourceful, with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strong, collaborative relationships.
