Description:

  • 8+ years of program management experience, in capital projects/physical infrastructure or mission critical environments.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large scale budgets (e.g Building infrastructure projects).
  • Industry experience across either data center, networking engineering or construction management in mission critical environments: Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Structural etc..
  • Experience of mission critical design, construction and fit out projects.
    The EMEA AWS Infrastructure Data Center Delivery team is looking for a Manager, Technical Infrastructure Program Management (TIPM).
    This role will lead a team of TIPMs to deliver capacity across a clusters in EMEA as well as drive innovative infrastructure programs and new initiatives to improve capacity utilization and availability in existing data centers.
    The role can be based out of London or Dublin
    AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.     Key job responsibilities

For the cluster owned by this leader, the role involves leading a team of delivery TIPMs and partnering with various stakeholder teams during data center delivery:

  • Real Estate to support the feasibility and selection of new sites;
  • Energy to ensure suitable grid connection is available;
  • Design Engineering to coordinate project specific inputs, constraints and risks into designs;
  • Procurement to secure on time delivery of critical equipment;
  • Construction Management to track budget & progress; and
  • Operations to complete the project with successful handover, to name but a few.

On the strategic programs, this leader works closely with Data Center Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Business development teams to identify areas of improvement, drive design enhancement programs that continually raise the bar for operational standards in our Data Centers.
This leader is also responsible for executive communications for their programs and the business implication from capacity perspective.

As a Manager you will build, mentor, and manage a high-performance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, drive career growth for team members, and ensure team efficiency.

  • Drive engineering and process improvement programs across EMEA by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver program execution excellence against SLAs, measure and analyze performance, understand challenges throughout the process, and drive cycle time improvement.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings to align partner teams, share progress, and escalate quickly to deliver business outcome.
  • Identify opportunities to invent and simplify process, develop seamless project execution and remove unnecessary or redundant process.
  • Communicate clearly, and proactively to remove roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
