YOUR POSITION

As our telecom engineering department continues to expand in the years to come, we are looking for a Manager to lead part of the department.
In your new position as a Manager for Telecommunication Engineers in the Products & Technology division, you will join a multicultural, diverse team of skilled, enthusiastic telecommunication specialists from all over the world. Together with your dedicated colleagues, you will lead a team of professionals who create, design, and develop critical communication systems for the offshore energy industry. Above all, your work will make a real change in the global energy sector.
Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel up to 30 days per year.

To succeed in this position, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing teams and projects involving various telecommunication systems.
  • A degree in electronic telecommunications engineering or a similar field, with a strong technical background.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in the energy industry is an advantage but not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Manager in the Telecommunication Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Telecommunications Design philosophy across your team, ensuring quality control at all stages, from planning to execution. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality telecommunication solutions. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in aligning project goals with client requirements and organizational objectives.

YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Leading and managing the team, including hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Supporting different recruitment activities.
  • Coordinating, delegating, and prioritizing activities and tasks.
  • Closely collaborating and coordinating with Telecom Project Managers and the rest of the telecom engineering department.
  • Contributing to engineering processes, including quality assurance and control.
  • Setting up training programs for telecom engineers in close coordination with the Project leads, Telecom Service, and the Head of Engineering.
  • Working on Lessons Learned within the Telecom area and securing their anchoring/implementation into the team(s).
  • Running, implementing, and coordinating specific project and department tasks.
  • Cooperating and coordinating with other departments.
