Manager Tool & Die Engineering-Connect with Oetiker-New Tecumseth, ON (vizirecruiter.com)
Responsible for all procedures, standards, and forms that define global tooling design, maintenance, and improvement.
- Maintain global design guidelines (materials, heat treatments, coatings, clearances, tolerance fields, etc.)
- Coordinate global network of tool design responsibilities
- Define best practices for manufacturing methods
- Support CAM software/system standardization
- Maintain Tool Maintenance Work Instructions
- Define and monitor Key Spare Parts
- Support tooling issues, implementations, and improvements
- Support global capital budget planning process
- Keep up to date on the latest advancements in tooling technology
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent leadership skills within a matrix organization
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Fluent in spoken and written English, second language preferred
- Excellent project management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of tooling design and manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of general machining practices (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic)
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft productivity software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Ability to travel internationally
- Ability to work with the highest levels of integrity and compliance
