TITLE -MANAGING ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT - AZURE SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Locations: Calgary, AB - Vaapproachmindset and culture. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, driven and can handle multiple projects and priorities as well as client conversations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 10 years of total experience
• 5+ years leading data and AI solution development demonstrating the Azure platform and related tools, technologies
• Ideally based in Alberta or willing to relocate to the location.
• Previous experience in the energy sector is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading data and AI solution development on the Azure platform.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant languages, with hands-on experience in creating pipelines, data flows, and complex data transformations using Azure Data Factory and PySpark with Databricks.
• Experience with Azure BLOB storage, ADLS Gen 1 and Gen 2, and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience working with and leading teams in a fast-paced and agile environment, including on-shore/off-shore teams.
• Certifications such as TOGAF 9, IAF level 1, and current Azure certifications are a plus
• Should have a in functional architecture design.

• Lead client discussions to capture business requirements and propose innovative Azure solutions.
• Develop holistic design patterns for secure cloud application environments, platform enhancements, and cloud service integrations.
• Conduct technical audits of existing architectures and recommend improvements for performance, security, and scalability.
• Architect and implement cloud solutions for various application architectures, including programmatic integration of cloud applications, data services, and infrastructure.
• Provide expertise in data and analytics technology stacks, such as Azure Synapse vs. Snowflake, and advise clients on leading technologies for AI/ML platforms.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Manage project timelines and delivery commitments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
