Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Managing Director, you will report directly to the Vice President Nordic Dry. You will manage your own legal entity in Finland and Estonia and be part of the BU Nordic Dry management team together with other MD colleagues in BU Nordic. This is a key role in the DFDS organization that will involve great collaboration with the rest of the organization to continue our journey towards One DFDS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and drive the overall performance of the Logistics forwarding business in Finland and Estonia (ca 35 MEUR revenue)
  • In line with the overall DFDS strategic plan, develop and deliver on strategic initiatives for the local business
  • Propose, initiate and deliver organizational changes as required in order to improve organizational effectiveness and performance
  • Create and establish strong internal relationships and promote collaboration across departments and business areas within the group
  • Stay up to date with market and industry trends as well as the competitor landscape
  • Maintain and develop key customer relations as well as driving new business development
  • Manage and follow up on annual budgets
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining a good working environment and engagement
