Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for our EMEA team. This role is based in our European offices based in Berlin Germany. This role provides senior leadership to our functions in the region ensuring efficient alignment of objectives to achieve company goals. Reporting to the CRO, this role has the following responsibilities:

  • Achieve company growth targets.
  • Maintain and develop a culture of high performance, accountability and trust across the EMEA team.
  • Lead all EMEA commercial operations with a matrix structure, including Account Executives, Application Engineer, Customer Success, Fulfillment operations, Office services, etc.
  • Foster a culture of professional development, enjoyment and ethical behavior.
  • Working with leadership localize, implement, and execute an integrated plan to grow bookings and revenue across the EMEA region.
  • Ensure the effective integration and operation of the channel playbook integrating Automation and Alliance Partners into business objectives.
  • Participate in key customer/partner presentations and maintain excellent customer relationships throughout the company’s targeted major accounts.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to inspire a dynamic and fast-growing team. Be a great teacher, mentor and coach to the team.
  • Be an active and vocal member of the global senior leadership team, ensuring that the EMEA is appropriately integrated into all forms of business planning
  • Support Marketing as requested for relevant event and press opportunities
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes that provide genuine visibility and accurately forecast sales results and opportunities, as well as provide quantitative and qualitative input for strategic decisions in the group.
  • Be an active and recognizable focal point and figurehead for the company within the region, ensuring that the company’s prestige and influence continues to grow.
  • Aligns the EMEA sales organization’s objectives with Ventions business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Leads learning and development initiatives impacting the EMEA sales organization, and provides stewardship of local sales and sales management talent.
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Manage relations with local authorities and support various administrative requests
  • Ensure compliance with various laws and authorities
  • Manage office activities and suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A world-class, experienced sales or business development professional with at least 15 years of proven success leading and scaling teams.
  • Experience in, and strong understanding of the EMEA Region. In particular has intimate knowledge of hybrid go to market models that includes inside, outside and channel sales.
  • Is comfortable navigating both direct and dotted-line reporting relationship
  • Degree in engineering with track record in business development and general management
  • Strong leadership skills; must have a consistent track record in recruiting, developing and retaining high performing teams.
  • A deep understanding and experience of working with a North American headquarters, skilled in managing collaboration and the exchange of best practices.
  • Demonstrable record of increasing management responsibility with cross-functional capabilities and multidisciplinary expertise.
  • Evidence of having thrived in a fast growth, open environment. Ideally will have worked in a company in hyper growth and can effectively manage a team fresh in their careers and looking for guidance and direction.
  • Consistent record of exceeding sales targets and motivating sales teams to exceed targets is critical. Experience of delivering excellence across multiple functions.
  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial automation. Preference given to someone who is highly networked within the industry and able to break into and navigate executive (c-suite) customer audiences
  • Must have the ability to nurture and develop commercial teams to exceed targets and view 100% of target as a minimum performance standard.
