Description:

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure manufacturing suppliers continued conformance to requirements specified by TAQA Well Completions and its customers, industry standards and best practice and, where applicable, regulatory obligations.
  • Regular and frequent communication with manufacturing suppliers and TAQA internal parties to support, coordinate and assist problem solving and improvement, and to provide a technical point of contact for internal parties and manufacturing suppliers. This includes, but is not limited to e-mails, Suppliers Quality Meetings, other meetings, supplier visits and audits,
  • Management of manufacturing suppliers technical qualification processes (internal and customer),
  • Coordination and monitoring of manufacturing suppliers performance key performance indicators and assistance to manufacturing suppliers in achieving TAQA performance objectives,
  • Active participation in non-conformance and concession request processes, including investigation, corrective and preventive actions, in cooperation with Quality, Engineering, Technical S and HSE departments.
  • Cooperation with manufacturing suppliers and TAQA internal parties for manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and improvement,
  • Other tasks and duties as reasonably required by the Supply Chain and manufacturing Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential: A degree or equivalent type of qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred:Masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Strong background and experience in manufacturing processes, process and equipment optimization, project management and engineering or manufacturing in oil and gas industry, preferably in well completions equipment manufacturing.
Decision making, flexibility and initiative.

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing or engineering related role in oil and gas industry,
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, welding and fabrication,
  • Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards relevant to well completions equipment, such as ISO, API, ASME, ASTM, NACE,
  • Familiarity with engineering design related processes, including DAC, MAC and design packages, and Management of Change,
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives,
  • Project management experience, including planning, execution and monitoring of manufacturing projects,
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations related to manufacturing operations,
  • Willing to travel globally for support of manufacturing locations,
  • Strong quality background

Preferred:

  • Experience in the design, qualification and testing of well completion products.
  • ISO9001 or / and API Q1 Lead Auditor and API Q1 Practitioner,
  • Proficiency in electronic principles and circuitry
  • Knowledge of firmware integration and management within software systems.

  • To report on any perceived deviations from established processes and procedures, non-conformances or faults in the business operation, realization and provision of product and service and in the companys Quality and HSE Management Systems,
  • Stop the job and report unsafe acts and conditions and deviation from processes, in line with relevant company procedures.
