Description:
We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Design Engineer to join us in our central Manufacturing Technology department! Now is the time to get on board with Kongsberg Discovery. We are leading the way in achieving business goals through developing solutions for manufacturing and we’re seeking a talented individual to help us. If you’re ready to be part of this exciting journey, your adventure begins here!
In our Manufacturing Technology department, you will work in a highly motivated team, developing solutions for manufacturing of our subsea products. The design of our tools is done in close collaboration with our product developers and the manufacturing departments. We use Inventor 3D CAD, Vault and Teamcenter. For proof of concept, you will have access to several 3D printers - and for the final touch - a dedicated machine workshop with well experienced operators.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors or Masters degree within mechanical design, mechatronics, product design or similar. Experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
- Experience with 3D modelling and 2D drawing.
- An eye for smart, safe, and efficient solutions.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing is an advantage.
We encourage newly graduates and experienced professionals to apply.
At KONGSBERG, we believe that diversity fuels innovation. We encourage you to apply, even if you do not meet every requirement. Research shows that women and minority groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Your unique perspective is valuable to us. Your skills, attitude and perspective could be exactly what we are looking for!
