JOB DESCRIPTION
A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Galway for a fulltime, onsite role on an initial 12-month contract. The MANUFACTURING ENGINEER will provide production, process, and risk management support to ensure that our medical devices are appropriately designed and manufactured.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience within a GMP regulated Operations Department environment.
- Production / line support experience within a medical device environment.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement opportunities for improved efficiency. Proactive monitoring of line efficiency, performance and output using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
- Establish relationship with external manufacturers ensuring production targets are achieved.
- Completion and review of process risk analysis and ongoing dedication to risk reduction.
- Provide design for manufacture feedback/support to R&D team during new product development phase.
- Equipment specification, procurement, calibration, and maintenance.Collaborate closely with component and service suppliers on any quality issues.
