The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes and quality systems for medical devices. This includes developing and implementing new processes, optimizing existing processes, trouble-shooting and resolving manufacturing and quality issues, and ensuring that all medical devices are manufactured in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Manufacturing Engineer will also work with other engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure that medical devices are manufactured safely and efficiently.
This position will have the opportunity of learning data driven decision making and interdepartmental collaboration that would be beneficial in future leadership roles.
This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineering and will be in Lodi, California. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions. This role is 100% onsite and the schedule will be 7:30-4:30pm Thursday - Monday.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience, Master’s degree in field with 1+ years of related work experience OR 5+ years of work experience

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Experiencing working in a medical manufacturing facility
  • Familiar with working with Solidworks

    The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $ 90,200.00 - $120,000.00 annual. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in problem solving complex manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes for medical devices using lean manufacturing principles to improve production process.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Work with other engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure that medical devices are manufactured in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
