Description:

Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with Tradesman Manufacturing in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting engineering projects by providing technical expertise, conducting research, assisting with design and development, and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Compensation & Hours:

  • The rate of pay will be $75K - $90K a year, dependent on experience
  • This is a Full time, permanent position

Position Summary:

  • Generating drawings and implementation of automation projects
  • Assisting in the identification and correction of inefficiencies to allow for continuous improvement in current practices and policies
  • Leading a team of two Junior Engineers
  • Programming CNC machinery through a variety of software programs
  • Inputting data to ensure accurate tracking of materials used within production, and throughout the product lines
  • Providing recommendations surrounding quality improvement for both processes and products
  • Designing, building, and implementation of custom equipment and tooling

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering technologist role
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Mechanically inclined, and willing to work hands on with equipment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and a willingness to teach
  • Experience in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently

Bonus Points For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Lean 101 manufacturing practices
  • Python programing experience an asset
  • PLC programing experience an asset
