QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years as an engineer in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience with electrical test procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written an strong communication skills, observation, and analytical skills to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues.
  • Other Useful Skills or experience:
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Enersys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The position will focus on supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, addressing manufacturing issues, and executing sustaining and continuous improvement projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conducting hands-on investigations of manufacturing escalations, implementing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles, leading cost reduction projects, and coordinating the setup and validation of new production lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product introduction projects.
  • Lead production transfer activities, including the creation of work instructions, design manufacturing processes and equipment, and conducting manufacturing training.
  • Developing build plans for custom and configurable product families using LEAN principles.
  • Creating and maintaining build documentation and standards
  • Leading improvement projects to improve flow and reduce product cost.
  • Being an active and positive contributor in support of the Operations team’s objectives
  • Participate in design for manufacturing and assembly reviews. Conduct design improvements and cost reduction activities, leveraging knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and process capabilities.
