Overview:
Cummings Electrical, a leading provider of electrical construction and integrated manufacturing services in DFW, is growing and looking for talented individuals in the engineering industry to join our team. This is a perfect opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on individual, to lead and manage a team of other engineers engaged in the planning, design, and modification of small and large manufactured electrical products and E-houses.
Responsibilities:
- Strong task-oriented leadership and planning skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical).
- 5+ years of engineering experience working with a concentration in mission critical and data facilities.
- Electrical design power distribution, lighting and low voltage systems
- HVAC design basic understanding and knowledge.
- CAD knowledge using Autodesk products (i.e. AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit).
- Constructability, functionality, and best value design review of Engineering Plans.
- Constructability, functionality, and best value design review of Engineering Specifications.
- Strong computer software skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam.
- Ability to attend to detail and direct work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- Able to identify, analyze and solve design and construction issues.
- Engineering Support for production teams on Cummings Integrated Manufacturing projects.
- Site investigations to provide Engineering support and recommendations.
- Attending meetings as required in person and over web services.
- Help train junior engineers in design and construction problem solving.
Qualifications:
- Consulting Engineering Experience
- PE License
- Working CAD abilities using Autodesk products (ie. AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit)
- Knowledge of Coordination/Arc Flash/AIC Studies
- Experience with SKM
