Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Technician provides technical support to the engineering team and production staff. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will provide part specific requirements (such as manufacturing work instructions, CNC codes, etc.), and assist in the implementation of manufacturing process changes and improvements, as well as root cause analysis and corrective actions. The ME Technician embraces a culture defined by safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Write technical documents such as manufacturing and rework plans/work instructions.
- Implement engineering changes and process improvement and coordinate changes in the build process.
- Optimize production flow to meet program deliverables.
- Assist in design and interpreting conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop applications using CAD/CAM (computer-assisted design, computer-assisted manufacturing) for the control of robots, computer numerical control (CNC) machines and other manufacturing processes and operations.
- Assist in the design of moulds, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related defects and improvements.
- Assist in identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans (e.g., FMEA).
- Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests, and analyses of machines, components, and materials to support manufacturing process validation activities and qualifications.
